The Crystal Ball goes colour…

I started a few 365-projects over the years. But somehow all of them run dry after some times. So I am quite happy (and a little bit proud ;-)) that my Crystal Ball-Project survived already a whole month. And it even serves me as a "testing ground" for my next project...

Still playing around with this glass objects...

All photographs are done with my Fujifilm X100s and available light only, no additional lighting, just the reflections of some light sources or the sun. Quite fascinating to see what happens when you are changing camera position for some centimeters only. Maybe one can not see into the future but you can learn a lot about light refraction...

Rather than represent the subject literally, a fine art photographer aims at representing the subject emotionally. It is this focus on creating photographs based on emotion that makes all the difference.  It this emotional focus that is at the root of vision.  Rather than seek the creation of images based on a literal representation of the subject, fine art photographers seek the creation of images based on an emotional response to the subject.  Rather than show us the subject as we already know it, the artist shows us the subject as only him, or her, knows it.
