Meanwhile in: Italy

THE WHITE MOUNTAINS OF CARRARA

Driving around a little bit in thesurroundings of Lucca. Quite impressive are the marble quarries of Carrara. Already the Romans got from here the marble for the construction of the Forum Romanum and Michelangelo has choosen here many blocks of the white stone for his famous statues...

And from the quarries to the beach it is just a few kilometers...

Baywatch Italien style...

Since I got my first camera (a Kodak Instamatic) I am addicted to taking pictures. So it was quite obvious that I became a photographer. Beeing it now for about 30 years I am still with the great photographer Imogen Cunningham: "Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I'm going to take tomorrow".
